Minister Derek Cobb has been a member of the Redford congregation, since he was baptized into Christ April 2, 1991.  He served as the Youth Director for Redford for 16 years and also served as the Associate Minister for three years, before taking on the full-time assignment as Pulpit Minister in 2024.  He also served for 15 years, as the Board Director of Facilities and Registration with the Michigan Youth Worker’s Association. 

Derek is a devoted servant of God who has dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel and guiding others in faith. With a heart full of passion for ministry, he’s served in various capacities within the church community, offering spiritual guidance, teaching, and support to those in need.

Bro. Cobb graduated from Midwestern Christian Institute in 2023. Through years of personal study, prayer, and mentorship, he has developed a profound understanding of Scripture and a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. 

Minister Cobb is known for his heartfelt preaching, where he emphasizes the power of God’s love, forgiveness, and grace. His ability to inspire and uplift others has made a lasting impact on the communities he serves. Above all, he is committed to living out his faith authentically and humbly, believing that the true measure of a preacher lies in the transformation they help bring about in the lives of others.
